A Very Hard Lesson

I’m not sure why I am posting on this topic but it is important to me. About 3 or 4 years ago I was chatting with an online “friend”. I later found out that he was drunk and now I am actually pretty good at discerning someone’s drug of choice when they are surfing or trolling online. I did not factor his being drunk during the conversation because I just didn’t get it. I will make this incredibly long and somewhat painful story as short as possible. In the middle of a chatting online he said to me: “I hate you”. At the time it didn’t seem like that big of a deal because I already knew his history of high jinks or better put, “unrestrained fun”. However, as time passed by I realized that I had been infected with the “H word”. Things that had once been simply annoying became spiteful and bitter. There is such a thing as “unrestrained fun” and in the end, it is not fun.

It is indeed a word that keeps on giving.

peace sign
